What areas do you service?
We’re based in Silverdale and work across Whangaparāoa, Silverdale, Orewa and nearby areas.
Do you charge for quotes?
No, our quotes are free, clear and easy to understand – no hidden surprises.
How much do you charge?
Here’s a breakdown of our pricing:
Minimum charge: $155 + GST – includes call-out, travel and labour for up to 1 hour total time.
Additional labour: $95 + GST per hour, per electrician (in 15-minute increments).
Materials: Priced separately, based on job requirements.
No hidden fees: Certification and vehicle use are included.
How soon can you do the job?
If you’ve got an urgent electrical fault, we can usually be there within 3-4 hours to get it sorted. For other small jobs, you’ll typically receive a quote within one business day of us completing a site visit (or grabbing all relevant details, if a site visit isn't needed). From there, we can usually complete the job within a few days of quote acceptance.
Do you do emergency/after-hours work?
Our team works 7am-5pm Monday to Friday. If you have an urgent job that crops up during these hours, we’ll be there quickly to get it sorted (generally within 3-4 hours). If you need urgent electrical help at night or on the weekend, you’ll need to contact Vector or an emergency electrician.
Do I need to be home while you’re working?
It’s ideal if you can be there to let us in, but we understand that’s not always possible during the week. If you’re able to give us access to the house, we’re happy to let ourselves in.
Can you help with big electrical projects too?
Absolutely – we handle everything from adding a single light to full electrical design and installation on a new build or renovation. We also do commercial electrical work, including offices, schools, retail, hospitality and industrial premises.
I’m not sure exactly what I need – can you provide advice?
We’re always happy to help and offer advice if there’s anything you’re unsure about, whether it’s the best power point placements for your home or deciding whether to repair or replace your switchboard.
